The Friday Five: Good Stuff for Your Weekend

Welcome to The Friday Five: Good Stuff for Your Weekend. In this post I will do a quick round up of five books, links, and resources for homeschooling families.

So, let's get to the good stuff!

1. Have you read this post from Read Aloud Revival? It's heart warming and has me looking at my calendar for the year with a fresh eye. I think you'll really like this one.

2. If you have printer issues like I do (we're currently without a reliable printer to use in our homeschool) you might appreciate There's No Place Like Home's youtube review about a service that prints for you and then mails it to you. I will be checking it out myself and I'll let you know what I think once I've had a chance to use the service.

Note: so far I've received my estimate for the cost, which I feel was reasonable for the work I requested, and have placed my order. I'll let you know what I think once it arrives. So far, so good!

3. Speaking of youtube, I've been making some videos for you!

I'm really just kind of playing around with the Day in the Life vlog format to see if it is something that I think I can sustain during the homeschool year and if I can figure out how to do it cheaply but still in a watchable, fun way.

I am totally a great big bundle of awkward on YouTube, which should surprise no one. However, I'm having a fun time with it, the kids enjoy it (even those who don't choose to be a part of the vlogs really like watching them) and I think it will be a fun way to record our homeschool days.

I still include Knit Vlogs and some crafty content, as well.

If you're interested in that, I'd love to have you as a subscriber to my youtube channel. Thanks!

4. Max finished Merlin and has asked me to order book two of the series. Are any of your kids enjoying a book series currently?

5. And the fifth thing I wanted to share with you today is a THANK YOU! This is a new adventure for the kids and I and we are so pleased to have you joining us in this space. You've been so welcoming and encouraging. Thank you!

Look for book reviews to come as we compete our reading during the school year. In the meantime, thanks for checking us out. We're so glad to have you here!
